Ghana’s President-elect John Mahama paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa on Monday.
This was disclosed by Tinubu’s special assistant on social media Dada Olusegun in a post on X on Tuesday.
Mr Olusegun wrote, “The President-Elect of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama, paid a courtesy visit to President Tinubu at his residence, Presidential Villa, State House yesterday.”
The visit follows Tinubu’s congratulatory message to Mahama after his victory in Ghana’s December 7 general election.
During a recent telephone call, Tinubu expressed optimism that Mahama’s return to leadership would strengthen stability within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
He also highlighted his anticipation of working with Mahama’s incoming administration to enhance bilateral ties and foster progress across West Africa.
