Actress Aunty Ramota, popular for her comedic roles, has shared that skit maker Ijoba Lande, often referred to as her on-screen ‘husband,’ is responsible for her alleged pregnancy.
Speculation about the actress being pregnant circulated last week, with many unsure of the truth.
However, in a recent interview shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, Aunty Ramota confirmed the pregnancy and named Ijoba Lande as the father.
Addressing the rumour, Lande, who was part of the interview said, “You people are funny. Is it so hard to believe? Someone said she is pregnant, what is there to drag?
“Pregnancy is not something that can be hidden. If someone tells you she is three months pregnant, you just count the rest of the months and see.”
When asked to confirm his role, Lande stated that Aunty Ramota should answer the question herself.
“Every woman knows who is responsible for her pregnancy,” he added.
Aunty Ramota, however, left no room for doubt. “Yes, I am pregnant. Lande is responsible for my pregnancy,” she said.
Pressed further, Lande acknowledged being the father and questioned why people found it surprising.
“What is funny or special about someone being in a relationship? Is she not a human being?
“Doesn’t she have a reproductive system? The same way we bought wedding clothes and people doubted, if one gets married, isn’t it expected to give birth?”
Fans of the 43-year-old actress have reacted with excitement, eagerly awaiting the arrival of her child while others remain skeptical about the claim.
