Singer Burna Boy has shared a cryptic Instagram Story seemingly addressing the release of his colleague Speed Darlington from police custody.
On Tuesday, the Common Person crooner reflected on how his reactions often provoke strong responses while others’ actions are overlooked.
He suggested his critics were fortunate he has much to lose, implying things could escalate otherwise.
“When they talk nobody cares, but when I react it’s a Nuclear disaster,” he wrote.
“Y’all don’t know how lucky you are that I have too much to lose now, Walahi a lot of you would not be here no more. Anyway make I just go buy another thing relax. BUNDLE BY BUNDLE! NO SIGN OF WEAKNESS!”
Speed Darlington, popularly known as Akpi, was released on bail on Monday following his rearrest on November 27.
He had earlier been charged with defamation after mocking Burna Boy’s connection with embattled American rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who faces allegations of sexual exploitation and human trafficking.
This marks Darlington’s second arrest in two months.
On October 4, he was detained over a controversial video targeting Burna Boy.
He was released on October 9 after spending five days in custody.
The public feud between the two singers has continued to generate attention.
