Actress Funke Akindele has ignited conversations across social media with the release of a dramatic behind-the-scenes clip from her new film, Everybody Loves Jenifa.

The viral video captures a staged fire consuming her house during a high-stakes filming sequence, leaving cast and crew in a frantic bid to manage the situation.

What stood out to many was Funke’s composed demeanor amidst the staged chaos, a reflection of the meticulous planning behind the production.

Reports indicate that the fire scene was carefully coordinated with the Lagos State Fire Service to prioritize safety while delivering cinematic realism.

Jubril Giwa, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor, confirmed the government’s involvement via a post on X, praising the actress’ adherence to safety protocols.

Self-funding the ambitious project, Funke employed a team of 175 crew members, with 95% of them being young, emerging talents, showcasing her dedication to mentoring the next generation of Nollywood professionals.

The star-studded film, which hit cinemas on December 13, features an ensemble cast including Falz, Layi Wasabi, Chimezie Imo, Nancy Isime, Jide Kosoko and Patience Ozokwor.
