Miss Universe Nigeria Chidimma Adetshina has celebrated her 24th birthday in spectacular fashion, sharing a video of a photoshoot on her Instagram page.

The video posted on Wednesday shows Adetshina clad in a green and white beaded corset gown, complete with fire dancers performing in the background. Her makeup is modest yet elegant.

In her post, Adetshina reflected on the significance of her birthday and shared a heartfelt message, “As I celebrate another year of life, I am reminded of the importance of embracing my individuality and living my truth. My birthday shoot is more than just a photoshoot – it’s a reflection of my personality, style, and spirit.

“I want to use this opportunity to express myself authentically and showcase my unique perspective on the world. A fierce and powerful woman. Here’s to another year of growth, learning, and self-discovery! I’m grateful for the love and support and I look forward to seeing what the future holds.”

Adetshina’s birthday post comes months after her impressive performance at the 2024 Miss Universe competition, where she claimed the first runner-up spot behind Miss Denmark, Victoria Theilvig, on November 16, 2024, in Mexico City.

Her achievement also earned her the title of Miss Universe Africa and Oceania, making her the highest-ranking African contestant in the history of the competition.

Despite facing early challenges, including criticism related to her mixed heritage and a decision to withdraw from the Miss South Africa pageant, Adetshina’s journey was defined by resilience.

The Silverbird Group, organisers of Miss Universe Nigeria, invited her to compete in the national pageant, where she triumphed and ultimately represented Nigeria on the global stage.
