Singer Oladapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj, has congratulated actress and producer Funke Akindele on the success of her film Everybody Loves Jenifa, which recently grossed N1.6 billion at the box office.
On Monday, Funke shared her excitement about the milestone on social media, expressing gratitude to her fans, supporters and God for making it possible.
“I’m speechless and overwhelmed. God did it,” she wrote.
Joining the celebration on Instagram, D’banj praised Funke for her achievement and reflected on his role in the project.
“I must greet my sister and Executive Producer @funkejenifaakindele so specially! Congratulations on N1.6B. I’m so honored to have been part of such an amazing project! OoossSSsHhhEee,” he posted.
Funke, in response, thanked D’banj for his unwavering support.

Funke has previously spoken about D’banj’s significant contributions to her Jenifa brand.
During the premiere of Everybody Loves Jenifa, she revealed that D’banj paused his own projects to support her at no cost.
Similarly, at D’banj’s anniversary dinner in June, Funke shared how the singer encouraged her to keep the Jenifa brand alive, offering financial and moral support for her next project.
The actress credited D’banj as a major influence in the growth of her iconic brand, which has become a household name in Nigerian entertainment.
