Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, former overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), City of David Parish, Lagos, and his wife, Siju Iluyomade, have unveiled their new ministry, The Family Fellowship.

The ministry was officially introduced over the weekend through a series of social media posts and a service held at an event centre in Victoria Island, Lagos.

During the inaugural service, Pastor Iluyomade urged the congregation to rededicate their lives to God and commemorate their spiritual rebirth as a “second birthday.”

Known for his lively and celebratory style, the event featured singing and dancing, drawing friends, families, and loyalists from their time at RCCG.

Ahead of the service, the couple shared several motivational messages on social media, encouraging believers to remain steadfast in faith despite life’s challenges.

“In the darkest seasons of life, hold on to your vision and look up to God, the one who gives strength and clarity,” they wrote. “Like Abraham, who saw the stars and believed in a glorious tomorrow, trust in God’s promises and focus on the destiny ahead. Don’t let challenges, delays, or barriers blur your vision—locate your stars, run with purpose, and fulfill your destiny. Your future is bright. God bless you!”

The couple were suspended as overseers of City of David in June 2024, following the elaborate 60th birthday celebration of Mrs. Iluyomade in February. The event took place just a week after the death of former Access Bank managing director and City of David benefactor Herbert Wigwe, who died in a helicopter crash in the US.

They took a break from the social scene after the incident but have since re-emerged at high-profile events, including Bola Shagaya’s son’s wedding in Abuja, Nkiru Olumide-Ojo’s birthday in Lagos and Nike Akande’s birthday in Lagos.

In November, the Iluyomades released a gospel song titled ‘No One Can Thank You Enough’, further hinting at their new direction in ministry.
