The flag off ceremony for the airlifting of hajj pilgrims in from Sokoto and Zamfara states took place at the Sultan Abubakar Airport, Sokoto on Monday.
Present at the ceremony were Governors Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara and Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto, along with Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, and Chairman, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Mukhtar Muhammed.
Tambuwal presented passport and boarding pass to one of the intending pilgrims, Aishatu Marnona, ahead of her departure to Saudi Arabia.
