Nigerian sprinter, Divine Oduduru, shocked Twitter on Tuesday as he came second behind Jamaican king of the track, Usain Bolt, in the 200m athletics event.
Oduduru ran a time of 20.34 seconds – six less than the world champion in Heat 9 to cruise to the semi-finals with Netherlands’ Solomon Bockarie in third.
He qualified with one of the best time in the heat – nine seconds above American sprinter, Justin Gatlin, who won silver in the 100m event.
Oduduru, a former junior champion, thus smashed the county’s national record in the 200m event.
Here are what fellow Nigerians have to say about the feat.

IOC should change some rules here…like if you came second behind Usain Bolt, you’re the winner. Congrats to Divine Oduduru!
