President Muhammadu Buhari will lead members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Benin on Tuesday for a grand campaign rally ahead of the Edo State governorship election.
Edo APC Chairman, Anselm Ojezua, disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Benin on Monday.
He said Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and all APC governors will also be at the event scheduled to take place at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin.
The governorship poll in the state will hold on Saturday.
Godwin Obaseki is the APC candidate for the election.
Mr. Ojezua said the National Campaign Council for the election headed by Governor Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos State was already in Benin to prepare grounds for the rally.
He said all arrangements had been concluded to ensure that the event was hitch-free.
“All logistics to ensure free movement of the visitors and party supporters across the state have also been perfected.
“Anytime APC is holding rally, there is always mass mobilisation.
“Once the people know that the president is coming this time around, our people will be so excited to receive him,” he said.
The party chairman called on the people, irrespective of party affiliation, to come out to welcome the President and his entourage to the state.
