Michael Stephens, popularly known as Ruggedman, has released the video for his collaborative song with 9ice.
The song, titled ‘Religion’, was released in August, but the Lucas Reid directed video was released on Friday and is already generating a lot of buzz, with many people saying the long-term beef between the artistes has finally come to an end.
Controversy broke in 2010 after 9ice released a song titled ‘Once Beaten Twice Shy’, with some insinuating that it was about an alleged affair between Ruggedman and 9ice’s estranged wife, Toni Payne.
It took six years for 9ice to finally open up that the song was not about Toni.
In a statement he released in February 2016, he said “I have NEVER accused her or told anybody that she cheated on me because she DID NOT.”
Responding back then, Ruggedman said 9ice’s explanation and subsequent apology came six years too late.
Fans were however pleasantly surprised when the two artistes released a song together.
