Grammy nominee, Wizkid, has announced the cancellation of all concerts in December and January on health grounds.
The Starboy Records CEO made the announcement in a message he sent to fans on social media on Thursday night.
“Doctors have advised me to cancel the rest of my dates for this year and January 2017,” he wrote.
He particularly apologised to his fans in Nigeria and Uganda, but promised to be back better in the New Year.
The 26-year-old who has been on the road for most of the year had scheduled a homecoming concert at Eko Convention Centre on December 30 and another show at the New Afrika Shrine on January 1.
His much anticipated ‘Wizkid Live in Kampala’ concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala did not take place on Saturday, December 3 as earlier planned after the ‘Jaiye Jaiye’ singer failed to fly out of the US because of “unavoidable circumstances”.
Wizkid is nominated in the Album of the Year category of 2017 Grammy as guest artiste and producer on Drake’s 2016 album, Views.
