Super Eagles midfielder, Victor Moses, is playing out of his skin for Chelsea because Antonio Conte is constantly in his ears.
The Nigerian has impressed as a wing-back this season after finally getting his big Stamford Bridge break.
It hasn’t always been easy for Moses in west London, with former boss, Jose Mourinho, shipping him out on loan to Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham.
But the 25-year-old has hardly put a foot wrong since securing his place in Chelsea’s starting XI and admits Conte is always dishing out instructions from the touchline to help him out.
Moses told Standard Sport on Friday: “I’m pleased to have him. He is very passionate about the game. Obviously, everyone’s seen him on the touchline. The way he reacts and stuff, we as players like it. It motivated us to actually do well and work hard for him.
“He is constantly in my ears just to make sure I’m doing the right thing and in the right position.”
Conte told Moses from the off he’d be a key part of his plans for the new season, and Moses insists that gave him the confidence to showcase his undoubted talent.
The Blues ace said: “Every manager is different. He came in and he saw something, he knew he could work with me. During pre-season, he came up to me and told me I was going to stay this season, that he didn’t want me to go anywhere on loan.
“That he believes in me. That gave me a boost that gave me confidence to actually go out there and express myself more and work hard for it – to help him as well.”
Conte will certainly be in Moses’ ears once again when Chelsea play West Brom this weekend.
