After nearly four years, 43 editions and over 150 guest artists, Afropolitan Vibes kicks off its first ever music festival today, Friday, December 16 at Freedom Park on Hospital Road, Old Prison Grounds, Lagos Island.
Christened Afropolitan Vibes Music Festival, it is co-produced by Ade Bantu and Abby Ogunsanya.
It will be two days and nights of quality live entertainment and so much more.
Gates open at 12pm with exhibitions, dance and drum workshops.
Afropolitan Vibes as it is known, will take place as usual on the main stage, but with a slight twist incorporating two consecutive evenings of live music featuring lots of guest artistes.
In the day time, the audience will be treated to back to back acoustic live sets featuring select artistes performing in the intimate setting of Kongi’s Harvest gallery. Urban Sessions will be hosted by Ade Bantu and Buki Sawyerr Izeogu of Classic FM.
A host of guest DJs will provide music all around the park throughout the two-day festival, as well as at the after parties which will take place immediately after the evening shows.
