Two years before he left office as Governor of Delta State, James Ibori attended the wedding of one of the children of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
One of the pictures from Qed.ng archives shows Ibori in company of former Kaduna State Governor, Ahmed Makarfi, and former Borno State Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff, at the 2005 wedding.
Ibori and Makarfi’s terms as governors ended in 2007, but Sheriff was in charge at what later became the spiritual home of Boko Haram till 2011.
All three are still members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
While Ibori on Wednesday completed serving jail term in the United Kingdom for money laundering, Makarfi and Sheriff currently lead bitter factions of the former national ruling party.
