It took a while coming, but notorious Canadian sisters, Jyoti and Kiran Matharoo, have finally been caught by the long arm of the law.
Accused of everything from prostitution to blackmail, the two were the nightmare of many Nigerian millionaire wives.
Combining exotic looks and flirtatious charm, Jyoti and Kiran allegedly conquered many loins. Their reward were hefty bank accounts and trips to choice destinations across the world.
Their address book has some of the most powerful names in politics and corporate Nigeria who frolicked with them on private jets and yachts. The expensive clothes they wore in public were easily removed behind closed doors for fees with enough zeroes to compete with a GSM number.
But they wanted more than escort service could deliver, and they chose the wrong customer in Forte Oil Chairman, Femi Otedola.
An attempt to blackmail the 54-year-old using gossip blog, naijagistlive.com, eventually landed them in troubled waters.
A veteran of sting operations, Otedola was said to have set the sisters up at Eko Hotel where policemen swooped on them and found many incriminating materials on their person. They were arraigned before a Yaba Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
With their cover blown and walls closing in on them, the twins and their accomplice, Babatunde Oyebode, have confessed to using their blog to humiliate and bully about 274 people across Africa.
The blog has been shut down and the suspects have undertaken to leave Nigeria and never return upon their release from detention.
One can imagine many wives heaving a collective sigh of relief.
The pictures below taken from the sisters’ Instagram pages show just how they were able to entice many men to become puppets on their string.
