5 things Oritsefemi should stop doing at 32

Ajegunle born and raised singer, Oritsefemi Majemite Ekele, mononymously known as Oritsefemi, clocked 32 on Thursday.

Born on January 5, 1985 to a polygamous family of 25 children, the “Corporate Miscreant” is the third child of his mother.

Given his rough background and the notoriety of his place of birth, it is no wonder that Oritsefemi continues to court controversy despite his celebrity status.

Happy birthday ? to me …. my people ✌️️

As he celebrates a new age, we look at five things he should stop doing as a matter of urgency

  1. Stop fighting in public

The last time Oritsefemi made any news worthy of note was in November when he fought a bouncer at Shina Peller’s Quilox night club, the destination of choice for celebrities who want to get away with blue murder. According to eyewitnesses, trouble began when the ‘Double Wahala’ singer attempted to gain entry to the VIP section of the club despite previous booking. An attempt by the bouncer named Iliasu to restrain him led to an exchange of grievous blows which landed both men in hospital. After initially lying about the cause of the fight and attempting to blame others for his woes, Oritsefemi finally apologised to Peller and the bouncer. He even issued a barely readable statement on social media.

  1. Stop sneaking out of the house

A source close to Oritsefemi confessed to Qed.ng that the artiste’s management team was particularly upset about the Quilox episode because he was not supposed to go out that night. An unnamed girl was said to have prevailed on him to sneak out that night without informing his managers. Sure enough, Oritsefemi created a big mess and left his handlers with the unenviable task of cleaning up after him.

  1. Stop driving flashy cars at night

Barely a week after acquiring a Range Rover SUV, Oritsefemi was reportedly attacked by robbers who attempted to snatch the vehicle in the early hours of December 6, 2014 along Ikorodu Road, Lagos. His manager, Yusuf “Danku” Adepitan, who drove the car, ran into a cement truck while attempting to escape from the robbers who were driving a Toyota Camry. The SUV, which Oritsefemi had gleefully flaunted all over town, was severely damaged.

  1. Stop making empty threats

Oritsefemi’s on and off relationship with his manager, Danku, got particularly messy early in 2016 over ownership of the MSN Gang label. The musician did not only threaten to deal with his handler, he vowed to arrest him and his mother. He also dragged up and coming act, Rayce, into the fray with allegation of copyright theft in a message posted on Instagram. It took a well crafted response from Rayce’s managers to sober Oritsefemi up. Needless to say he deleted the offending Instagram post.

  1. Stop dragging others into his drama

When Oritsefemi’s Instagram was allegedly hacked revealing scandalous propositions to female fans, the singer blamed his baby mama, Blessing Rawa, for the leak. Blessing denied the allegation. When Oritsefemi fought at Quilox, he lied that Sound Sultan and Rock Steady were also maltreated by the bouncer. Sound Sultan denied the allegation. A man Oritsefemi’s age should not drag others into his drama.

One thing he should do

Fire his management and get a sober person to manage his social media account.
