Congolese music legend, Awilo Longomba, has released a single titled ‘Rihanna’ featuring Nigeria’s Yemi Alade.
In the song, Awilo openly flirts with the much younger Yemi, comparing her to Barbadian singer Rihanna, over a VTek crafted Coupé-Décalé influenced instrumentation tailored to have everyone on the dance-floor within seconds.
Another Nigerian songstress, Tiwa Savage, recently posted a photo with the soukous musician and captioned it “Coming soon Awilo Longomba such a honor. #Hello’17”.
Awilo has been a big hit in Nigeria since his 1998 album, Coupe Bibamba, went viral all over Africa.
Two-time MTV Africa Music Award Best Female Artiste, Yemi Alade, is fondly referred to as Mama Africa after her 2016 album of the same title.
