The hilarious TV drama series, Professor Johnbull, sponsored by Globacom, enters its 26th episode and last episode of Season 2 on Tuesday with a presentation titled ‘Speak the Word’.
It stars rapper, M.I Abaga, who plays the cameo role of a Nigerian New York City-based returnee.
Announcing the new episode of the sitcom, Globacom, in a statement issued in Lagos on Monday, said that “the episode is aptly tagged ‘Speak the Word’ to underscore the importance of communication and intelligibility in our society, especially at a time when many of our youths believe that until they speak in slangs or use any other foreign lingo, they would not be regarded as successful or ‘belonging’.
In the episode, viewers will be reminded about the essence of clear and unambiguous communication as they sit back to watch the increasingly popular Professor Johnbull treat the issue of impersonation in a more comic and equally didactic.
Globacom said the episode would resonate with a lot of “Been-To” youths who come back to the country with foreign accent and incomprehensible slangs”.
The episode parades the sitcom’s regulars such as Professor Johnbull (Kanayo O. Kanayo), Olaniyi (Yomi Fash-Lanso), Caro acted by Mercy Johnson Okojie, Flash (Stephen Odimgbe), Ufoma (Bimbo Akintola), Jumoke (Bidemi Kosoko), Etuk (Imeh Bishop), Mai Doya (Funky Mallam) and Samson acted by the Waffi boy, Ogus Baba.
