Seven-time Nigerian champions, Enyimba, experienced the wrath of their fans on Sunday after it tweeted about Manchester United.
The Peoples’ Elephants were having a torrid day in Makurdi against Lobi Stars in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) – almost same time the Red Devils faced Southampton in the League Cup final.
They eventually lost 2-1 while United triumphed 3-2 but the high point of the game was a tweet by the club which reflected on the game at Wembley Stadium.
There will be Manchester United minutes of added time here in Makurdi. #LOBENY

Maybe banter, jibe or just a joke, however, fans of the two-time African champions weren’t too pleased with the post considering the team conceded afterwards.
@EnyimbaFC you just lost a fan ?
