Vice President Yemi Osinbajo joined the raging jollof war on Monday when he declared that “we all know that Nigerian jollof rice is the best anywhere in the world.”
The statement comes a few days after Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohamed, told CNN’s Richard Quest that Senegal has the best jollof rice.
Unlike the goofy minister, the nation’s number two citizen added “we beat the Ghanaians and the Senegalese hands down”.
While Mohammed’s statement earned him the rebuke of Nigerians, Osinbajo’s was met with approval by his audience at The Platform Nigeria 2017 held at the Covenant Christian Place in Lagos.
Even the Presidency was excited at the VP’s statement, calling it the final verdict on the ECOWAS jollof war.
