Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi, has expressed gratitude to God after his marriage happily clocked one year on Sunday.
Onazi, Nigeria’s stand-in skipper in Mikel Obi’s absence, took his heartthrob, Sandra Ogunsuyi, to the altar on June 18 last year.
The pair tied the nuptial knots at Faith Tabernacle in Lekki, Lagos, before heading for an elaborate reception ceremony at the Ruby Gardens.
Now a year on, the Trabzonspor star is glad he took that bold step to dump bachelorhood.
I thank God for you and everything good that comes with marriage. One year down already….more than grateful.?? pic.twitter.com/anocYACbcl

Onazi is one of the few married current Eagles players.
The others are Brown Ideye, Odion Ighalo, Daniel Akpeyi, Elderson Echiejele, Ahmed Musa, John Ogu and Olarenwaju Kayode.
He has been capped 38 times by his country and has captained the team thrice in Mikel’s absence.
The most recent being the embarrassing 2-0 home defeat to South Africa in an Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.
