Super Eagles coach, Salisu Yusuf, has lost his mother at the age of 88.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed the news on Thursday via the official Twitter handle of the Super Eagles.

Hajia Binta Yusuf passed away on Thursday, a day after the same time news of the death of former international, Kelechi Emetole, hit the country.
Yusuf’s loss is the third time in barely one week a Nigerian football personality has either passed away or experienced loss of their loved ones.
Emetole’s death and that of Super Falcons coach, Florence Omagbemi, who lost her son are the other two.
Salisu Yusuf was appointed head of the country’s national team in August with Gernot Rohr taking up the position of technical adviser.
The 55-year-old coach is currently preparing the Eagles’ Team B for the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers in August.
Yusuf has previously worked as assistant to Stephen Keshi, Sunday Oliseh and Samson Siasia.
Prior to that, he led Kano Pillars to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) title in 2008 and Enyimba to domestic Cup success in 2013.
