How do you get American rapper, Nicki Minaj, to notice your song even if you are not the biggest hip-hop artiste in Nigeria? You do a song named after her and release a video inspired by some of hers, especially the high energy Anaconda.
That is exactly what Tee Blaq did with his ‘Nicki Minaj’ song featuring Olamide. And his effort has not gone unnoticed.
The video which was released on Tuesday, January 20 has gone on to break YouTube record for Nigerian music videos, setting the record of over 63,000 views in 48 hours.
Nicki Minaj had a hand and butt in the rise in number. After seeing the video, she clicked the like button and even commented on it. “The Song Called Nicki Minaj, It’s Not a Feautring :)”, she wrote. That may sound like a disclaimer but Tee Blaq is not complaining.
The video was shot in Lagos and was directed by Unlimited L.A.
