Retired Ijaw militant, Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, has come down hard on President Muhammadu Buhari and others over allegations that former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, stole billions of dollars from the Nigerian government.
In a video recording posted online, the 53-year-old accused President Buhari of running a government of liars.
Challenging claims that Alison-Madueke refunded $90billion, a furious Dokubo-Asari wondered why Nigeria still needed to borrow money if it had such amount in its account.
“Buhari can lie,” he taunted, before launching into allegations that the President embezzled N2.8billion as federal commissioner for petroleum and N25billion as chairman of the PTDF.
Turning his attention to Don Jazzy, the former Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) president erroneously referred to the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke as the music producer’s uncle.
The entertainer had tweeted during the week about God forgiving Alison-Madueke for the sins she is said to have committed.
That prompted Dokubo-Asari to ask why the Mavin Records boss was talking about the ex-petroleum minister instead of Yoruba politicians like Bola Tinubu, Babatunde Fashola and the late Obafemi Awolowo.
He added that the money the former minister allegedly stole was made from oil in the Niger Delta, asking “is it your money?”
