As part of its 20th anniversary celebration, independent television talk show, Inside Out with Agatha, is set to host a conference themed “Nigeria Beyond Oil: The Future” – a conversation on the need for the country to depend on alternative means of revenue generation.
Former Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, is one of the special guests while Vice Chairman of Famfa Oil, Folorunsho Alakija, will be the guest speaker.
The event is set to hold on Friday, August 4, 2017, at the Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Hosted by Agatha Amata, the event seeks to highlight the need to engage the youth in the diversification of the economy as they pose to be the future of our country.
“With my experience of 20 years in the media industry working closely with young people, having the opportunity to listen and analyse the thoughts of decision makers in the country, it is safe to assume that Nigeria still remains crippled under the country’s unwillingness to invest in the Nigerian youth and other sectors of the economy,” said Agatha Amata, CEO of Inside Out Media.
“The youth are unemployed, no development opportunity and agitations here and there! It has become imperative to discuss the socio-economic future of this country, and create an effective change to avoid imminent crisis, especially as it concerns the youth, hence the need for this conference,” she added.
Other speakers at the event include Director-General, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry Muda Yusuf; Head Creatives, Bank of Industry, Uche Nwuka; Managing Director, Safari54, Shedrack Madilon; CEO, Wood Designs, Obi Buogo, and Tosin Akande of Social Critic.
