Nollywood actor, Yemi Solade, and his wife, Hannah, on Thursday, celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary.
The 57-year-old actor marked the milestone with an Instagram post.
“I can’t thank and appreciate this unique lady of inestimable value enough for coming into my life and giving it a meaning, her strength is my courage,” he wrote.
The couple met on the set of Wale Adenuga’s SuperStory.
They are blessed with two lovely kids named Rola and Fela.
Speaking in a January interview with Punch, the three master degrees holders said: “God indeed has a sense of humour because I met two half-castes that year, Lilian Bach and Hannah Marsh.
“Lilian played my wife, while Hannah acted as my secretary in that particular production. I liked Hannah, but I initially did not want to get involved with half-caste ladies because I felt they are expensive to maintain, and only rich men can handle them.”
However, we met again and unknown to me, she had also been eyeing me, so she asked me to bring my phone, and she dialled her number on it.
“We all know the rest of the story, and now, we have two kids between us. I feel it was God that wrote our script, and I am pleased with it.”
Yemi, who has been acting for over four decades, has had two previously unsuccessful marriages.
His first left to relocate to the United States of America.
“I had previously been married, but my first wife left me and went abroad,” he said in the interview.
The actor is known for movies like Iriri Mi, Madam Dearest, Pasito Deinde and Tunde Kelani‘s award-winning Thunderbolt.
