After successfully taking several other celebrities including comedian Hafiz Oyetoro (Saka) and Executive Chairman of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Alhaja Gbolahan Daodu back to their alma mater, organisers of the Celebrity Back To School (CBS) Initiative, Ballywalls Integrated, are back again with another celebrity in foremost Nollywood star, Iyabo Ojo.
While not disclosing what she will donate during her visit, Iyabo said “I am just excited that I am involved in this project. It is my joy to touch lives positively anytime and this will give me the opportunity of visiting the school after so many years. I am already relishing this memory and I can’t wait to put on my school uniform.”
CBS Initiative, a brainchild of the CBS TV Show bring back nostalgic feeling of celebrities wearing their school uniforms while they, go to school assembly, attend classes, mentor students, donate and impact positively on the students. They also relieve fond memories and navigate their favourite spots in their respective schools.
Founded in 1955 as a non-sectarian private school, NGC’s motto is “Aim High, Work and Pray”.
Current head school who incidentally is a biological son of the founder, Alfred Aina, expressed his joy and appreciation to the organisers of the initiative.
An excited Mr Aina said “we welcome the noble idea as given by the organisers and we are happy that one of our illustrious daughters in the person of popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, will be coming over to contribute her quota to the development of the school. We are appealing to others to emulate her.”
There will be a CBS after party to celebrate the actress, create a convivial atmosphere for her to unwind with friends and put her on the spot for a no holds barred interactive session.
