The sprawling city of Ikorodu, Lagos State, will on Saturday, October 21 play host to the Glo Mega Music Tour, the 27-city flagship show sponsored by Globacom.
The show, which kicked off in Awka, Anambra State, on April 15, 2017, had berthed in 26 different cities and locations such as Aba, Calabar, Asaba, Benin, Victoria Island, Ajah, Ikeja, Benin, Port Harcourt, Owerri, Ekpoma, Enugu, Kubwa, Abuja, Suleja, Makurdi, Lokoja, Ayingba, twice in Port Harcourt and Ibadan, Akure, Abeokuta and Ijebu Ode.
In a press statement issued to announce the Ikorodu edition of the popular show in Lagos on Thursday, Globacom said that the event would be held at Ikorodu Musical Village at 4.00 p.m.
According to the statement, artistes billed to perform at the show include Axterix, Di’Ja, Kiss Daniel, Flavour, Timaya and 2face Idibia.
The company added that in addition to the musicians billed to perform at the concert, “the show will be anchored by Nollywood divas, Juliet Ibrahim and Uche Jombo, while Nollywood legends, Patience Ozokwor, Kanayo O. Kanayo and Richard Mofe-Damijo would be making celebrity guest appearances.
Globacom said the show is holding for the fifth time in Lagos, adding that “this goes to show the prime place Lagos State occupies in our minds in the scheme of things. As a company, we believe that nothing is too big for us to celebrate and reward our teeming subscribers for their loyalty and faith in the Glo Brand”.
Just last Sunday, residents of Ajah and its environs were treated to a generous dose of laughter when the sister show, Glo Laffta Fest, held in the locality.
