Tony Okoroji, the immediate past chairman of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) on Sunday promised to continue to share his wealth of experience with the newly elected executive of the society.
Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Okoroji said that he was interested in the continuous progress of the society in future.
NAN reports that COSON held an election last week during which Efe Omorogbe emerged its new chairman.
Okoroji said, “I am still one of the board members of COSON and I will dedicate myself to the continuous development of the society.
“I have invested a significant length of my years in contributing to the protection of intellectual property and I intend to see that intellectual property is continuously protected.”
The former chairman said that he had written books on collective management and understood the trend of the society which COSON had benefited from over the past years.
“What I have in terms of knowledge and experience is a national patrimony which I am ready to share with the new executive for the benefit of the country,” he said.
Okoroji prayed for Omorogbe the newly elected chairman of COSON and wished him and his team well as they come on board to govern the affairs of the society.
