Super Eagles legend, Nwankwo Kanu, has expressed his delight to be part of the lives of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), especially the kids.
Kanu, 41, renowned for his philanthropic works, this time took it to the next level as he was the surprise guests at a camp in Kano.
The ex-Arsenal forward took to Instagram on Friday morning to share what he called a “happy” moment.
Kanu was among a host of African legends who took part in a novelty game against Kano Pillars on Thursday to raise fund for the IDPs.
Former Senegal and Liverpool forward, El Hadji Diouf; ex-South African Captain, Aaron Mokoena, and former Zimbabwe star, Benjani Nwaruwari, alongside their counterparts from Nigeria featured in the encounter.
Although the game watched by a capacity crowd at the Sai Masu Gida ground ended 2-1 in favour of the NPFL team, the legends showed glimpses of what made them popular amongst African football fans.
Akide Ibrahim scored both goals for Pillars while Mokoena got the Legends’ consolation goal.
