Super Eagles star, Ogenyi Onazi, clocked 25 on Christmas Day.
The energetic midfielder, born December 25, 1992, took to Instagram to celebrate the day.
Since breaking into the Nigerian scene with the Golden Eaglets in 2009, Onazi has continued to grow from strength to strength.
At the FIFA U-17 World Cup hosted by Nigeria, the midfielder featured prominently as the team reached the final.
Two years later, he climbed a step higher to the Flying Eagles before his main breakthrough came in 2012.
Onazi was called up to Nigeria’s 23-man squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
He came on as a substitute in Nigeria’s first match of the tournament against Burkina Faso, whom they would eventually face again in the final, before going to on to play every minute of all Nigeria’s games in the knockout phase, including the final.
Since then, the Trabzonspor star has amassed 48 caps scoring once.
He now deputises for Mikel Obi as skipper of the national team.
