A businessman has revealed he is hiring out sex dolls with artificial intelligence for £50 (approximately (N24,000) an hour for clients to test before buying.
Based in Gateshead, a town in Tyne and Wear, England, the man simply identified as Graham denies running “sex doll brothel”.
He launched lovedoll.co.uk last month to provide a wide range of new and used sex dolls on demand.
“We’re hoping this is a test drive so that they would then go on to purchase one of our products.
“The aim of the game isn’t simply the use of the service,” he told BBC Radio 5.
The dolls are dressed in lingerie in a secret room on a Gateshead industrial estate
The dolls made available for half-hour “testing and inspection” retail at £1,800 with “life-like skin and realistic sexual organs”.
Customers wanting to test drive one of the dolls must provide contact details and pay in advance.
They then visit the unit where a key code gains them entry to a small room containing bed and the doll dressed in lingerie.
Graham admitted he has tested the dolls himself, saying “it would be crazy for me not to.
“Once you realise you’re performing an act with somebody or something that has no judgement of you whatsoever, that is quite a freedom and that’s a developing freedom that a lot of our customers experience.”
He added that some of his retail customers are interested in opening brothels “staffed” by the dolls, and hasn’t ruled out doing the same himself.
“We’ve had four people who’ve made that kind of enquiry. Two have made purchases. They have the doll right now, but we don’t know if they’ve proceeded any further.
“I think it will happen, whether it’s us or someone else. If it makes sense for us to do it, we’ll do it.”
There are no known sex doll brothels in the UK, although they have opened in Spain and Germany in recent years.
Sex dolls have been a topic of discussion on Nigerian cyberspace in the last couple of days with claims that they go from between N800,000 to N5million.
