Showcasing Dele’s Nigerian heritage and celebrating the tradition of spraying money on friends and family at celebratory events, Dele’s Spray the Money sees the ‘Diaspora Boy’ singing in both Yoruba and English language, gloriously fusing his renowned R&B vocals with Afrobeats sound.
Spray the Money is produced by prolific Delerious and is the lead single from Dele’s forthcoming album Omo Diaspora which is due to be released in the summer of 2015.
The video for the Spray the Money single sees Dele collaborating with acclaimed director Alexx Adjei (PPV) to create a fun and vibrant visual experience for teeming audiences across Africa.
It also includes a cameo appearance from the world’s strongest football player and AFC Wimbledon star Bayo Akinfenwa.
Dele (also known as Dele Akinz) made it into the underground UK music scene in 2008 with his debut single EX, which reached number seven in the MTV Base Music Chart.
