The actress, who held a private screening of her movie, Being Mrs Elliot, at the presidential villa in Abuja last year, uploaded a picture of her and Mr President on her Instagram page with the caption, “Presidential selfie of life. I can’t sit still. 14 hours to elections, I can’t wait to cast my votes for GEJ because I want #continuity #progress#unity#peace#transformation#OurJonacontinue#Hatsforward. But I maintain that no matter who your choice is, make sure you vote. Your vote is your power. Under no circumstance should you engage in any form of violence. We are all one! Nigeria belongs to all of us#votenotfight#electionnorbewar#letpeacereign#lovedonthate#GodblessNigeria”
It should be recalled that Omoni drew public ire for the choice of dress she wore to the presidential screening. Many felt her attire on that day was too immodest and unbecoming of a mother and role model. However, the actress maintained that she wasn’t trying to seduce the President, and that her husband actually chose the outfit for her.
