Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, on Friday celebrated Ayo Makun on his 24th birthday.
In a message posted on Instagram, the Alakada actress said the young star makes her proud.
Born Adewale Mayowa, Mayorkun discovered his passion for music in 2007 at the age of 9 and started recording professionally in 2013.
On February 1, 2016, he tweeted a video singing to Davido’s ‘The Money’ featuring Olamide.
Immediately Davido spotted him and requested to meet him. Davido went on to sign Mayorkun to his new entertainment outfit Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) alongside another talented act – Dremo
Mayorkun released his debut single, ‘Eleko’ under Davido Music Worldwide/HKN Gang and it became a hit, amassing one million views on YouTube in just 10 days and climbing up to the number one position on iTunes in four hours.
A graduate of the University of Lagos, Mayorkun is the son of popular actress, Toyin Adewale.
