Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, was sent off for the second time this season for Leicester City on Saturday against Brighton and Hove Albion.
With three minutes left in the match and the Foxes up 1-0, Ndidi fouled Shane Duffy and subsequently dismissed by referee Chris Kavanagh.
The Nigerian was first cautioned in the 76th minute after he brought down Jose Izquierdo in the penalty area – but Kasper Schmeichel saved the resulting spot-kick taken by Glenn Murray.
In the closing seconds of the game, Jamie Vardy powered in the second goal of the evening as Claude Puel’s men side secured a vital away win.
Ndidi got his first career red card against Crystal Palace on his 21st birthday.
Before his expulsion, the 21-year-old made a total of four tackles (75% tackles won) and four clearances.
