Immediate past President of Ghana, John Mahama, on Sunday arrived Nigeria for the Lagos State Tourism Summit holding on Monday at Eko Hotel and Suites.
Mr Mahama, 59, was received at the presidential wing of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja by a team of Lagos State Government officials led by Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Steve Ayorinde.
Also at the airport to welcome him were permanent secretary of the ministry, Fola Adeyemi; consul general, Ghana Consulate, Lagos, Maxwell Awiaga, and publisher of Ovation International, Dele Momodu.
Mahama, who is the special guest of honour, will deliver a keynote address and share experiences on tourism development and long-term planning instruments among other issues.
Theme of the summit is “Destination Lagos: Towards a Sustainable Tourism-Driven Economy”.
