The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) thought they were remembering former Super Eagles defender, Olubayo Adefemi, but ended up in a howler.
Adefemi passed away on April 18th, 2011, from an auto crash in Greece, exactly seven years on Wednesday.
He was reported to be on his way to Nigeria to finalize his wedding plans.
However, the Glass House in a Tweet totally gaffed the timing as they claimed he died six years earlier.
On this day in 2005 we lost @NGSuperEagles and Olympic Silver Medalist Olubayo Adefemi. May his soul continue to rest in peace. #WeRememberAdefemi pic.twitter.com/GMEz0zCepw

It was in fact in 2005 that Adefemi stormed into the spotlight with the Flying Eagles.
Alongside the likes of Mikel Obi, Taye Taiwo, Adefemi helped Nigeria to a runner-up finish at the FIFA U20 World Cup.
Three years, he clinched Silver at the Beijing Olympics in China.
Adefemi made five caps for Nigeria before his demise.
