Four years ago, Uche Nwofor, was preparing to play a part in the Super Eagles’ FIFA World Cup bid in Brazil.
With this summer’s Mundial barely two months away, the 26-year-old is preparing to return home to the Nigerian league with Enugu Rangers.
Rangers confirmed that the ex-VVV-Venlo forward has joined them until the end of the season.

Nwofor was unattached after leaving AS Trencin last summer.
He had previously struggled at Boavista, Lierse SK and Heerenveen after leaving Venlo.
Nwofor returns to Rangers, the club that offered him international breakthrough in 2011.
Before joining the Flying Antelopes, the 26-year-old had kitted for Anambra Warriors and Shooting Stars.
He is fondly remembered for his superb backheel finish against South Africa in 2013.
