Special Adviser to Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto on Media and Publicity, Imam Imam, is dead.
Imam died around 3 am at the Nziamye Turkish Hospital Abuja after a brief illness on Friday.

He was 40-year-old.
The deceased’s younger brother, Abubakar Imam and his friend Muhammad Isa, confirmed that the deceased would be buried at the Al-Nur Mosque in Abuja at Wuse 2 after Jumuat Prayers.
A graduate of the Kaduna Polytechnic where he bagged both OND and HND in mass communication, Imam also holds two masters degrees in developmental studies and public relations.
His working experience took him from the New Nigerian Newspapers in Kaduna to THISDAY and eventually to the National Assembly in 2011 where he served as spokesman to then Speaker Tambuwal.
His appointment as media adviser was one of the earliest made by Tambuwal after his election as governor in 2015.
He recently declared his interest to represent Bali-Gassol Federal Constituency of Taraba State in the House of Representatives.
Shocked friends, colleagues and those who did not know him have expressed sadness at his death.

Imam Imam was my good friend. A humble man, despite the many great things God allowed him achieve at an early age. What a sad loss. Even at a time he and I were in opposing camps, he continued to help me. May his soul Rest In Peace and May God grant his family succour.
