Fernando Torres was among the goals as Atletico Madrid defeated Nigeria’s Super Eagles 3-2 in a Hybrid Friendly on Tuesday.
Torress, 34, notched his side’s second moments after coming on to a rapturous applause in the second half.
Nigeria opened the goal spree through Kelechi Nwakali after 32 minutes.
The Arsenal midfielder produced a superb solo effort from outside the 18-box to the surprise of Jan Oblak.
Barely one minute later, Rojiblancos was even thanks to Angel Correa.
Torres put the Europa League holders in front 19 minutes into the second stanza.
Then Usman Muhammed produced another beauty to restore parity for the hosts.
However, Borja Boston had other plans as he struck with barely five minutes left to play.
Atletico was delighted with the victory as reflected by their Twitter post.
