Zinedine Zidane’s shock decision to quit Real Madrid didn’t go down with faithful and rivals alike.
The Frenchman made the shock decision to step down from his position as Madrid Coach after two-and-a-half years, just five days after winning his third successive Champions League title.
“I’ve taken the decision to not continue next year as Real Madrid Coach,” Zidane told reporters on Thursday.
“I made this decision because I love this club, I love (Florentino Perez) and I am grateful towards him.”
The football world stormed Twitter to react to the Frenchman’s unexpected exit.
Good luck to Zidane’s replacement 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Why is Zidane Underrated? What else does he have to win to prove himself as one of the best all-rounder the football game has ever seen?

Zinedine Zidane is available. This is the only manager who can knock Pep Guardiola off his throne in the BPL. However, the timing of his departure is bad. #MUFC

Zidane is probably the best in the world at knowing how to finish in way which people won’t forget for a long long time.

Madrid are losing it. Bombshell’s everywhere. Bale and Ronaldo playing with the board. Zidane leaving and now Marcelo told Perez if Ronaldo leaves I’ll leave 😂😂 and they’ve only just won a champions league. pic.twitter.com/ygRdrqDR1j

Big fan of Zidane coming to our rescue and resigning so that we still have a chance of keeping Eden. That’s the main takeaway of today right…
