Even with less than two weeks to the start of the FIFA World Cup, football fans seem not to be patient enough to catch a glimpse of the Russian spectacle.
While the coaches seem eagerly concerned about the tactical side of things, players are getting set to stun new kits and boots.
Super Eagles skipper, Mikel Obi, for instance, is already looking forward to the event by flaunting his new boots.
Mikel, who will captain Nigeria for the first time at a major tournament, took to Instagram on Thursday to showcase his new Nike shoes.
Mikel is currently in London with the Eagles ahead of Saturday’s friendly with England.
The ex-Chelsea star is glad about the level of discipline and unity in camp.
“I have been in the national team since 2005 and I haven’t seen this discipline before,” the 31-year-old told Guardian.
“It is meetings, being on time, the training. Sometimes a player has the hump because he knows he is not going to make the team and, before in the national team, he just strolls around.
“Now, you have to train properly. If you don’t, you are leaving the camp. The coach has changed the whole mentality.”
