The second edition of the FirstBank Agric Expo (2.0) was held at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Thursday, June 28, 2018.
Organised to keep Nigerians abreast of emerging trends in the agricultural sector, whilst providing them insights into how innovative solutions can contribute to the overall development of the economy, and the nation at large, the event attracted delegates and stakeholders from all over the country.
Discussing the theme of the event “Innovating for a Sustainable Green Economy” were Nigeria’s Minister of Agriculture & Rural development, Audu Ogbeh; Minister of Industry, Trade & Investment, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah; Dr. Doyin Salami of the Lagos Business School; Chairman, First Bank of Nigeria Ltd. Mrs Ibukun Awosika, and other executives of the bank.
Chief host for the expo was the MD/CEO of First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Dr. Adesola Adeduntan, supported by other members of his executive management team.
There were over 60 agroprenuers who showcased a myriad of agro-products ranging from poultry, fishery supplies, perishable & non-perishable items, dairy and the list is endless.
There were also two facilitated by thought-leaders themed “Agricultural Processes for Self- reliance & Export” and “iAgric: Emerging Trends for Agropreneurs”.
