Born again rapper and producer, Weird MC, is a year older.
In a lengthy Instagram post on Monday, the 48-year-old glorified God and sang His praises for keeping her alive to add another year to her age.
“Heavenly Father…Jesus Christ My Lord My Saviour My King I say thank you ..thank you for another year ..Oh! Adeshola gives thanks for you are good and your mercy endureth forever.
“Thank you for keeping me for preserving me thank you for keeping me hedged in with your protective wall of fire. Thank you, Jesus, for where you have brought me from for where I am and for where you are leading me to. Abba-Thank you for breathe for the precious air that I breathe,” she wrote.
Once alleged to be a butch lesbian, Weird MC confirmed in an Interview with Music Plus in 2016 that she became born again after the death of Nomoreloss.
“It was a few months ago, I was coming from a very dark place; couple with the fact that I lost a very close friend, Nomoreloss. It’s really funny because there is this artiste who has always been with me; her name is Ayeesha, a northerner. I didn’t even know she was a Christian at first. She would encourage me to give my heart to Christ and I always reply her that I wasn’t ready because I am the kind of person that when I commit, I give everything.
“I just felt right there that it was time. I have been edging towards God with my life prior to the period so, at that point, I just gave in and from then, I haven’t looked back. This was the 5th of April this year and so far so good it has been awesome. If I knew then the things I know now, I would have done so many things differently,” she said.
The ‘Allen Avenue’ singer now posts Christian messages on social media.
