Ex-Super Eagles winger, Emmanuel Amuneke, has urged the two factions of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to resolve its crisis.
The Glass House is locked in a two-way battle involving Amaju Pinnick and Chris Giwa.
A Jos High Court on Tuesday failed to deliver a final verdict on the legitimately elected president of the body, a feud that has been unresolved for the past four years.
Amuneke, currently working with FIFA at the World Cup in Russia, is hoping the crisis would be resolved in earnest.
“We dont know why this issue is still persisting,” he told CompleteSports.
“We have to put square pegs in square holes to move our football forward. It’s not easy going back and forth on court cases.
“This is unfair because its when we have little success we have this problem. I just hope we can change that and appease those aggrieved.”
Nigerians are hoping to avoid a FIFA ban as it will halt Super Eagles Africa Cup of Nations chances.
