While everyone else was glued to the battle between France and Croatia, Super Eagles defender, Shehu Abdullahi was allegedly battering his wife in his home.
Les Bleus defeated Croatia 4-2 in Sunday’s World Cup final to lift the honour for the second time.
Abdullahi, meanwhile, had his hands full with his wife Sumayya Mustapha, over a phone call in Sokoto base.
According to reports, Sumayya abruptly ended a phone conversation on sighting her husband.
However, when the phone rang again, she opted not to answer, thus irking the Bursaspor defender.
Abdullahi requested she picked and pounced on her when she declined.

The Super Eagles star is yet to comment about the allegations.
Abdullahi was a key member of Nigeria’s World Cup squad in Russia.
The 25-year-old started the 2-0 defeat to Croatia.
