Amaju Pinnick’s led Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) board has won the backing of state FA chairpersons.
The Glass House has come under siege in recent weeks after a Federal Government order for Pinnick to be replaced by Chris Giwa.
Following another order from President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, however, the Pinnick-led board was reinstated back in office.
The chairman of state football associations’ chairmen, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, says the group is solidly behind the CAF Vice-President.
“We are happy with the restoration of sanity and peace in our football. That move has saved our football and saved our country’s image from being smeared unnecessarily in the international sphere,” Gusau, who is Zamfara state FA boos, remarked.
“There are 211 countries of the world, who are members of world football governing body, FIFA.
“All of those countries adhere strictly to the tenets and dictates of association football as enshrined in the FIFA Statutes, which is duplicated in their own countries’ respective versions.”
