Mavin Records music act, Tiwa Savage, has spoken for the first time about her relationship with pop star, Wizkid.
In an interview with Soundcity FM, Tiwa Savage talked about how she has been able to handle the rumoured relationship between Wizkid and herself.
“We are friends definitely. To be honest, I think I have been in this industry for a long time, I have grown a thick skin so comments like that, genuinely, honestly don’t bother me that much.
“I am kinda used to it. Today is Humblesmith, tomorrow it’s Wiz, it’s just what it is, it’s part of the job,” she said.
The rumour began with herself and Wizkid dropping hit songs together, making appearances frequently and always seen performing as though they have something going on.
While performing during his sold-out Afrorepbulik concert in London, Wizkid stopped the show midway to bring Tiwa Savage to the stage to perform their hit collaboration song, ‘Ma Lo.’
It wasn’t the normal introduction of a co-star, as the singer called Tiwa Savage “someone special” which got a lot of cheers from the crowd.
After the show, Tiwa took to Instagram to share a video of her coming on stage to perform alongside Wizkid to the cheer of the crowd.
“Show up for Starboy anywhere anytime,” she captioned the video alongside emojis of love.
